Annual Teal Cup Golf Tournament

  • A few years back tragedy had struck the Iota Pi Family. A brother, founding chapter member Dana Whitlow, Iota Pi initiate number 4, lost his wife to Ovarian Cancer. Grief-stricken, he decided to fight back the only way that he could, by raising money to help combat cancer so that no one ever had to experience what he had gone through. The Iota Pi chapter hosts an annual golf tournament in the name of his late wife, Kathryn, and last year was record-breaking! The chapter was able to have over 25 foursomes participate, 20 sponsorship's, and hundreds of items donated. In the end, the chapter in partnership with the Ovarian Cancer Institute was able to raise a total of $50,000 for research, a feat that brought Mr. Whitlow's family to tears. The chapter states that it is moments like this that make them truly realize what brotherhood is all about.
